Waimea Athletic Field is a county park in Waimea that now includes an inclusive playground project paired with ADA parking and walkway renovations. County press materials confirm the inclusive playground construction and accessibility upgrades, while the facilities page confirms the broader park setup with restrooms, a pavilion, ballfields, and other family-use infrastructure. For local families on the west side, this is one of the clearest publicly documented accessible playground updates in the region. It is likely best as a practical neighborhood-to-district park visit rather than a full destination outing.
