Pole Green Park's renovated playground is one of the strongest current accessible playground options in Hanover County. The 2025 upgrade added poured-in-place rubber surfacing, ramps, outdoor musical instruments, tactile activity panels, a wheelchair-friendly merry-go-round spinner, a parent-and-toddler Swing Along, and dramatic larger-scale features for older kids. Because it sits inside a sprawling park with parking, sports amenities, and community-use infrastructure, it works well for families planning a fuller outing instead of a quick stop.
