The July 2025 city update described Phase 1 construction. Later reporting from the opening documents an operating playground, so the earlier construction notice alone no longer describes its status. The opening report identifies slides, swings and seesaws as accessible elements and names the entrance Braelynn’s Way. It also distinguishes later Phase 2 fundraising from the opened play area. For arrival, use the park address corroborated by an earlier event organizer. Before travelling for a particular access need, ask Birmingham Parks and Recreation which equipment can be used without transfer, what surface connects the entrance to play, and whether accessible restrooms are available. Those specifications are not established by the reviewed opening coverage.
